Rosalyn A. Carothers, J.D.
Rosalyn Carothers is an attorney who has been practicing law in Louisville and Southern Indiana since 1990. Roz is a graduate of the University of Louisville, where she received two Bachelor’s Degrees in music and her Juris Doctor. Roz focuses her practice on estate planning, probate and trust administration and asset protection.
She is the principal and sole owner of Carothers Law Office, LLC. Her planning is based on the motto, “Don’t let Uncle Sam or an attorney be your primary beneficiary!” Roz has an ability to explain complex concepts in a way that clients can understand.
Roz is a former adjunct faculty member for Oakland City University where she taught a course on business ethics, she served as the Ethics Vice-President for the Financial Planning Association; and as the attorney for the regional board of the March of Dimes. She has also served on numerous boards in the community; as President of the University of Louisville Music School Alumni Board; as the President of the Louisville Youth Orchestra Board of Directors, as a member of the Alumni Association Board of Directors for the University of Louisville, as Co-President of the 1798 Committee for the Music School at the University of Louisville, and she is currently the President of The Friends of the School of Music.
Roz also plays celtic and bluegrass fiddle, and has performed with Drowsy Maggie, Galloglass, Gilderoy Byrne, the Bluegrass Messengers, and is now performing bluegrass music with Millers Folly.
